Friday and Saturday

WILLIAM This is a two days blog, because everyone knows the Murdochs are too lazy to remember more than a weeks worth in a row!!! We awoke to dine upon a delectable breakfast. I had an eggs benedict- related meal, and then we were off to the elephant safari. It was great ride, and the elephants were well tamed. We took many pictures, and I'm sure that my Mom will post some. After that we went to see some rice fields, in which a legion off small children attacked us with their pencil sales of doom...they would not stop. We made a hasty retreat to the hotel in the Putu-mobile, and made it back safely. The next day, we had another great breakfast of eggs placed on top of hash browns, a delectable concept and even more delectable meal, after which we embarked on another day's adventure. First we went to Ubud, where we shopped for a while, at least until we left to see a volcano. The long drive was boring, but worthwhile as we discovered a splendid view at the top. The mountain was inhabited my many plants and villages, along with mandarin orange trees. We ate at a crater-side restaurant, which had a great variety of great foods. After that, we came back to the hotel for a while and relaxed. Afterwards, we went to a traditional dance, followed by dinner at the dirty duck.
