Well today was a lot of driving to see nature. The kids told the story...we drove through rice fields and small towns to get to a water temple, which was actually very beautiful and traditional looking. It was in the lake district, which is much cooler than the rest of Bali. We stopped for a while and then went on to the waterfall, which was really impressive. The kids talked about the cocoa, coffee beans, etc. Every town is preparing for Gulangan, which is a big religious holiday on Wednesday that is as important as Christmas. Decorations are going up everywhere, and we are lucky enough to be here for it. We will be spending the day with Putu's family. Tomorrow we switch to a different hotel. It is in Jimbaran, the beachy part of Bali and I am looking forward to it. |
