Today, we woke up and had breakfast. I had the usual; an egg white omelet and a bagel. When we finished, we got into Putu's car (aka the Putu-mobile) to go to a waterfall. The ride was about one or two hours long, so we had to leave early if we wanted to make a few stops and get back in time to go out for dinner. Our first stop was to get a snack and go to see a beautiful water temple. In the area of the water temple, there was a place with a reticulated python and three fruit bats. Allison and I fed the fruit bats. Mom said that the bats sort of creeped her out. I didn't see why, the bats looked like little dogs with wings. The water temple was beautiful. It was supposed to be surrounded by water, but it was low tide, so it wasn't, it was just mud. When we got back to the Putu-mobile, we zoomed off to lunch. I ordered noodle soup, and I had a few bites, but then, my mouth and throat burned. I had to drink a lot of Mom's soda since mine was empty. I didn't want it to happen again, so I just had some rice. Then, we were off to the waterfall. There was a little hike to the waterfall itself, and there were lots of seeds for things like coffee, cocoa fruits, and jackfruits growing. We got to taste the seeds of the cocoa fruit, which are also called cocoa beans and chocolate seeds. They tasted more like oranges than chocolate. The waterfall was so big and beautiful. It was amazing! We hiked back to the Putu-mobile. It was all uphill. Uh-oh! I hate hiking uphill. It doesn't tire me out, I just don't like it. I complained a lot, but when we got to the car, I stopped. On the way back, we stopped for dinner at a place called Indus. It was so good! Now, we're at the hotel. I had a great day! |
