Yesterday, 1st thing in the morning, we had breakfast and then rushed out the door. While Dad and Allison went to the reptile and bird parks, Mom, Will, and I went to a 5-story mall filled with nothing but electronic stores. There were at least 150 stores in there! The majority of the stores sold mostly cameras and computers (not laptops), but there were still a lot of stores that sold games, TV's, laptops, karaoke machines, cell phones, and things like thumb drives and hard drives. The only bad part was that electronics that had to have a plug couldn't work in the United States, so we could only buy battery-powered or USB chargeable, witch there were not a lot of, so we didn't buy any electronics at all, but we did get a few magazines. When we were finished with the mall that I like to call the e-mall (electronics mall), we walked a few blocks over to a giant food court. There were all kinds of Asian foods, and I had dumpling, vegetable, and noodle soup. When we got back to the hotel, we rested for a few hours and then took a taxi to the night zoo. It was a long ride, and in the back, Will, Allison, Mom, and I were all cramped and complaining (not as much Mom as the kids, she was asleep for most of the time). Dad was sitting in the front, with his own seat, and all the room he could possibly want. He kept on telling us to stop complaining but we didn't. We just said, "why don't you sit in the back, then you'll complain, too!" He just said, "Fine, I will get into the back." We all just yelled, "NO!" He is pretty big. At the night zoo, we went to see a show called "Creatures of the Night", and there were a bunch of animals that were in the zoo. They were all incredibly well trained, and even though a lot of people were sitting on chairs on the ground (including us), the animals didn't go anywhere near us. I got to be in the show. I took a grape and I hid it in one of my hands and this cute little furry dog thing (I have no idea what it was), sniffed each hand and then patted the hand that he thought that the grape was in. He got the right hand and I fed him the grape. After the show, we went onto a tram and rode through the zoo. When we went through a part of the park on the tram, Dad convinced us to go through the walking part of the park. We all found a tram station. The line was really long, and there was about twenty minutes between each tram. We waited and waited and when we were finally first in line and a tram came, we found out that someone bought it out for a party or something. After another twenty minutes of waiting, we finally got onto a tram and went to the parking lot. We went home in a nice, big taxi that we could all actually fit in. We were all mad at Dad. I had a pretty good day yesterday. |
